Paul Patterson


His works are eagerly placed in concert programs of the philharmonic concerts. They are performed by prominent artists: Yuri Bashmet, Mstislav Rostropovich, Tasmin Little, Michael Thompson, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, John Wilbraham, Varsovia String Quartet, Vega Wind Quintet, London Brass Virtuosi. Paul Patterson is an outstanding contemporary music composer acclaimed worldwide.

Awarded with Leslie Boosey Prize for merits in music Paul Patterson combines in his pieces various styles and techniques which gives extremely interesting effects. He willingly cooperates with polish music environment, in particular with his friend – Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki. London Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic, Royal Stockholm Orchestra, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra are only few who performs works of Paul Patterson.

Time piece – written for famous band King’s Singers is his one of the most popular pieces which was performer over 1000 times on stages around the world. Patterson contributed significantly to choral, symphonic and chamber music which makes him one of the best composers of our times. On a daily basis he is a professor of Composition at Royal Academy of Music in London.
